As part of a drive to improve productivity and streamline operations, Qantas introduced Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based business tools to its mobile, global workforce. But of course, just investing in the technology is just the first step, especially for such a large and diverse organisation.

Change management is key to success

Green Dot Consulting worked with Qantas to develop a change management program that helped to unlock Office 365’s business value. Green Dot Consulting developed a structured technology roll-out, taking a step-by-step approach to implementing the various tools across business units. In addition, an adoption champion was appointed to each business unit to help guide team members through the tools and to demonstrate the potential throughout the various Qantas functions. Resources to help team members were also provided in an on-demand format, including written articles and video content.

This structured user journey approach to implementing Office 365 has resulted in a 73 percent increase in the adoption rate amongst the Qantas workforce.
